TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Six members of the Sycamore swimming and diving program have been named to the Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete team following the 2017-2018 season.
The Indiana State swimming and diving program has a history of academic excellence in their two years of existence.
ISU has earned CSCAA Academic All-American honors last season and this season for having an outstanding 3.54 team grade point average. Last season the Sycamores also had five members of the all freshmen squad earn Scholar-Athlete honors.
The MVC Scholar-Athlete honorees are listed below.
These honors come after Indiana State's best season in program history. The Sycamores placed fourth at the MVC Championships scoring a total of 477 points after only scoring 148 points just last year.
Three members of the squad were named All-MVC First Team while another six earned Honorable Mention. Head coach
Matt Leach was also named Coach of the Year.
