ST. LOUIS – Senior Taylor Austin has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Female Track Athlete of the Week, the Valley announced Tuesday afternoon.

Taylor Austin dominated the women's mile run for ISU at the Terre Haute Double Dual, setting the new meet record at 4:51.08, overtaking the previous meet record set by Illinois State's Kelly McShea by over four seconds. Austin's time was also a new personal-best, and moved her up to third on the ISU all-time list. She still holds the top time in the MVC and is 19th overall in the nation with a converted time of 4:48.23.
