TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Softball's fall season is underway, and will continue for three more weekends as the Sycamores hone their skills under new head coach

This coming Sunday (Sept. 17), the Sycamores travel to Westfield, Ind., to take on UIndy at 1 p.m. and Miami (Ohio) at 3 p.m. at Grand Park. ISU returns home the following Sunday (Sept. 24) for a double-header against Olney, before wrapping up the season with a double-header at Butler on Oct. 1 vs. Marian University at 1 p.m. and Butler at 3 p.m.
The Sycamores return eight from the 2017 season – including Second-Team All-MVC and sophomore second baseman
Leslie Sims, junior outfielder
Bailey Martin, junior third baseman
Shaye Barton, sophomore utility player
Brittany Whiteside, sophomore outfielder
Becky Malchow, junior catcher
Brooke Mann, sophomore pitcher
Della Gher and senior pitcher
Kylie Stober.
ISU also welcomes 10 newcomers: pitcher Arielle Blankenship, outfielder Mycaela Miller, pitcher/first baseman Abbey Kruzel, shortstop Mallory Marsicek, infielder Grace Hunger, outfielder Bella Peterson, infielder Amanda Guercio, outfielder Rebecca Gibbs, utility player Kristen Kelly, and pitcher/outfielder Peyton Ottersbach.
Admission is free for contests at home, which are held at
Price Field.
