TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — Indiana State Volleyball makes its 2017 debut this weekend with a pair of Blue and White intrasquad scrimmages with the first coming Fri., Aug. 18 at 6 p.m. ET inside ISU Arena. The Sycamores will also take the court Sat., Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. ET when they scrimmage at Terre Haute South High School. Admission is free of charge for both events.
Sycamore Athletics has partnered with the Vigo County School Corporation for Saturday's scrimmage at Terre Haute South. Any person that brings a school supply will receive a buy one, get one free ticket voucher for Sycamore Football's season opener against Eastern Illinois on Thur., Aug. 31 at 7 p.m. ET. The supplies will be distributed by the Vigo County School Corporation.

Lindsay Allman takes over the Sycamore volleyball program. She will look to take the Sycamores to the postseason for the first time since 2014.
The Trees return one Missouri Valley Conference postseason award winner in sophomore middle blocker
Damadj Johnson. The St. Louis native was named to the MVC All-Freshman squad and led the Sycamores with 107 total blocks last season, finishing 11th all-time in single-season totals blocks.
Alongside Johnson will be seniors
Stephanie Bindernagel and
Rachel Griffin who were mainstays in the Sycamore lineup a year ago. Bindernagel currently sits eighth all-time in school history with 1,130 digs. Griffin is coming off a 983-assist season last year, currently with 1,400 assists for her career.
The team will open the regular season Aug. 25-26 at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington with matches against DePaul, Ball State and the host Hoosiers.
