Head Coach Julie Hanley Announces 2017 Sycamore Soccer Camp Dates

Terre Haute, Ind.—Indiana State women's soccer head coach Julie Hanley has announced the official dates of the 2017 Sycamore soccer camps.

This will be the first time that Hanley and her staff host camps available for youth players from all over the area.

"Our staff is looking forward to the opportunity to work with many local Wabash Valley youth players and future Sycamores this summer," said Hanley.

There will be three camps help over the course of the summer and each present unique options for participants of all different age groups.

 "Each camp will focus on technical and tactical player development in an environment that is challenging and fun."

The first camp held will be the Indiana State Youth Day Camp. This will run from June 12 through 16 and is open to boys and girls ages five to 14. There will be two separate options available for participation in the youth camp. First, the half day option which starts at 9 a.m. and finishes at noon. The second option is a full day of camp which ranges from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Following this on July 10 through 12 coach Hanley will be hosting the high school girls' team camp. This camp is in place to provide any high school or club teams interested with further development before their 2017 fall seasons. This three day, two night camp will be designed around high school coach's needs. Each team will have at least two training sessions, one to two games a day, speed and agility training, sports psychology training, and a College Prep Seminar. Each team must bring at least one female chaperone.

The last camp of 2017 will be the Prospect camp taking place on July 14 and 15. This camp is open to girls ages 13 through 18 who are looking for valuable training and collegiate exposure.

All campers should bring a soccer ball, shin guards, cleats if possible, and a water bottle to participate in any camps.

"We think the camp schedule this summer will allow us to train and work with all ability levels and showcase our women's soccer program, as well as the university as a whole. We can't wait to get started!"
