Sycamore Golf Camp Dates Announced

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Indiana State women's golf head coach Greg Towne announced today (May 23) that he will host two unique Sycamore Golf Camp experiences this summer at Hulman Links Golf Course.

Coach Towne and his staff will hold both two sessions of the Junior Sycamore Camp this summer. This is the first time Sycamore Golf has hosted a junior camp directed towards those in the community ready to learn the fundamentals of golf. The camps are open to both boys and girls of all skill levels. The Sycamore Golf Camp will feature daily instruction at the Hulman Links Golf Course, one of the top rated courses in Indiana. Instruction will come from head golf coach Greg Towne, assistant coach Amanda Smith and select student-athletes.

Putting, chipping, pitching sand shots, full swing, course management, rules, etiquette and much more are covered in all camps. The mission of the camps is to provide each camper with a fun, memorable and educational golf experience while at Hulman Links. The sessions will feature a variety of different camp sessions including the Junior two-day camps and the Elite Camp which will be held over three days.

The Junior Sycamore Camp will be held over two sessions on July 10-11 and July 31-August 1st. This camp is for ages 6-13 and will be held each day from 10:00 am until 2:30 p.m. (ET). The camp costs $150 and includes lunch each day. The Junior Sycamore Camp will introduce attendees to the game of golf with no experience or a couple years of instruction. Campers will learn the fundamentals of the game in a safe, fun and stimulating environment. Instruction will be given at a pace intended to maintain the attention of campers and at the same time be appropriate for each individual's kill level. Active and energetic instructors will lead the attendees through a series of games and exercises what will develop confidence and passion for the game of golf.
