DES MOINES, Iowa – Senior hurdler
Marcus Neely advanced to the 110-meter hurdles finals tomorrow following a solid run at a chilly Day Two of the 2017 Drake Relays on Friday.

Neely managed to win his heat with a time of 14.03, which was the fourth fastest overall time. He will be competing against fellow national top-50 hurdlers Aaron Mallett (5th), Nate Pozolinski (12th) and Justin Veteto (36th). Neely entered the weekend ranked 18th in the NCAA at 13.79.

The finals for the 110-meter hurdles will take place tomorrow at 3:44 p.m. ET.

The men's 4x200-meter relay team had an excellent day as well, winning their heat and finishing fifth overall with a time of 1:26.93. The quartet of
Tristan Parmley,
Tyrell Dowdell,
CJ Anyaebunam and Adrian Gibson now own the second fastest time in Indiana State history, falling just short of the record 1:26.30 set in 2013.

The Sycamore women also ran a second-fastest time in school history, coming within four seconds of the original 4x800-meter relay record set all the way back in 1995 at 8:48.97. The relay made up of
Brooke Moore (2:12.72),
Imani Davis (2:12.65), Brittany Neely (2:13.68) and
Alethia Marrero (2:13.35) finished fourth at 8:52.38 behind Oklahoma State (8:37.20), Iowa State (8:41.10) and Ohio State (8:42.70).

Competition will resume tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. with the women's hammer throw.
