Terre Haute, Ind. – The Indiana State Sycamores are set to host the Eastern Illinois Panthers on April 22, 2017.
The game will be held at 12 p.m. (ET) in Terre Haute, Ind. at Memorial Stadium. This will be their final game of the spring season.
Indiana State hopes to pay more attention to detail going into this final game. The Sycamores are looking to end the 2017 spring season with a win before returning home for summer break.
Head coach
Julie Hanley believes that after last week's tournament, the players are motivated and ready to take on their opponent.
Last season when ISU faced off with the Panthers, on September 4, they came out with a 2-0 win in what was nothing short of a nail biter. The Panthers only had five shots, none of which were on goal.
Indiana State had a total of ten shots, with three on goal. The two goals for the Sycamores came within the final two minutes of the game. First, in the 88
th minute when sophomore
Katie Wells put one away off an assist from freshman
Caitlin Glascott.
Not even a minute later, freshmen
Pam Silies intercepted an EIU misplay at midfield and took the ball on an all-out breakaway toward goal. Silies was able to slip the ball narrowly passed the Panthers goalkeeper.
Come out to Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 22, 2017 to see the final spring match-up between the Indiana State Sycamores and the Eastern Illinois Panthers.
Go Sycamores!
