ST. LOUIS – Indiana State junior Wendi Bibbins has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Newcomer of the Week, the league announced Monday. Bibbins finished the week nearly averaging a double-double, scoring 13.5 points, 8.5 rebounds to go along with 1.5 steals a game.
 
A Harvey, Louisiana native, Bibbins picked up a new career high after scoring 23 points in the Sycamores 65-47 win over Illinois State Friday. She finished 10-of-18 from the field to go along with 13 rebounds, just one shy of a career high.
 
This marks the second MVC weekly award for a Sycamores after Bibbins earned the honor Dec. 5, 2016.
