TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State women's soccer team announced its spring exhibition schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The Sycamores will play in four events, with two held at Memorial Stadium.
ISU opens the spring season on Feb. 25 facing off with Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. at 2:00 p.m. The event will be held at the indoor football facility.
Indiana State returns to action on March 31, as the Sycamores will travel to Indiana University to take on the Hoosiers in Bloomington at 7:30 p.m. The Sycamores and the Hoosiers last met during the 2014 regular season.
The Sycamores then host an all-day event on April 8 at Memorial Stadium. The times and details for this event are still to be determined.
Indiana State wraps up the spring exhibition season on April 22 welcoming Eastern Illinois to Memorial Stadium. The match will be played at noon. Indiana State also invites any alumni of the soccer program to attend and compete in an alumni game before the scheduled match.
The Sycamores finished the 2016 season with a 7-11-2 record, and were 2-3-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference. ISU made it to the semifinal round of the MVC tournament. This was the farthest the Sycamores had advanced since the 2013 season.
