ST. LOUIS – Senior hurdler Marcus Neely and junior hurdler Patrycja Dziekonska swept the Missouri Valley Conference Male and Female Track Athlete of the Week Awards, the Valley announced Tuesday morning.

Senior hurdler Marcus Neely won his second-straight 60-meter hurdles title at the EIU Friday Night Special last week. Neely ran 7.89 to win, nearing his season-best time of 7.87 that currently ranks second in the Valley and 28th in the NCAA this year.

Junior hurdler Patrycja Dziekonska had another excellent week in the 60-meter hurdles at the EIU Friday Night Special last week, winning the event for the second straight week at a sub-8.55 time. Dziekonska ran 8.54 in the final for the win, narrowly off her career-best from a week earlier of 8.53 (currently the fifth-best in the Valley and third-best in school history).
