TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State head softball coach
Mike Perniciaro announced the Sycamores have signed six to National Letters of Intent as part of his first recruiting class.
The balanced group – two outfielders, an infielder, a utility player, a catcher and a pitcher – will join the program in time for the 2019 season.
"I am excited to welcome this talented group to the Sycamore Softball Family," Perniciaro said. "They bring us speed, power and athleticism. For my first recruiting class at Indiana State, I am very happy to bring in such quality student-athletes that will represent our program on and off the field in a positive way."

An infielder, Bringle hit .400 last season at Shelbyville High School while scoring 32 runs and smacking 19 doubles.
Alexis McCullough / OF / Greenville, Ind. / Floyd Central HS
McCullough posted a .369 batting average as a junior at Floyd Central High School in Greenville while receiving the team's Outfield Defensive Player of the Year Award.
Olivia Patton / OF / Macomb, Mich. / Dakota HS
Patton helped lead Dakota High School to the 2017 state championship. She received all-county and all-district honors after hitting .485 during her junior campaign.
Tessa Sims / P / Hope, Ind. / Hauser HS
A right-handed pitcher, Sims posted a 1.14 ERA as a junior while opponents only hit .118 against her. She averaged 1.59 strikeouts per inning last year.
Lexie Siwek / UT / Plainfield, Ill. / Plainfield North HS
A versatile utility player, Siwek hit .432 while scoring 34 runs in just 30 games during her junior season.
Annie Tokarek / C / Zionsville, Ind. / Zionsville HS
Tokarek hit .384 at Zionsville High School last year while smashing nine home runs and registering 35 RBIs.
