TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The Indiana State Basketball team will be hosting its annual Military Appreciation Night on Wednesday, November 29 as the Sycamores host Air Force inside Hulman Center. The game begins at 7 pm (ET) and is part of the Missouri Valley / Mountain West Conference Challenge Series.
All active and former military members who possess valid identification will be guests of the Sycamore Basketball program on Wednesday night. Each military member will receive up to four complimentary tickets when they visit the Hulman Center Box Office. This offer is good in person at the ticket office.
The game against the United States Air Force Academy is a natural fit for this celebration. The Academy's stated mission is "to educate, train, and inspire men and women to become leaders of character, motivated to lead the United States Air Force in service to our nation."
[Graduates of the Academy's four-year program receive a Bachelor of Science degree, and are commissioned as second lieutenants in the U.S. Air Force.
As part of Wednesday night's celebration of the military, the Sycamores will honor Indiana State University President Dr. Daniel J. Bradley who himself served in the United States Army prior to his career in higher education. Dr. Bradley and his wife Cheri will also be honored ahead of their upcoming retirement from Indiana State at the end of December.
