ST. LOUIS – Five Sycamore Football student-athletes have received All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors for the 2017 season, the Valley announced Monday. The All-MVFC teams are voted on by MVFC coaches, sports information directors and members of the media.

Jacquet McClendon were tabbed to the Second Team All-MVFC while running back
LeMonte Booker, punter
Thomas Bouldin and linebacker
Katrell Moss were named Honorable Mention.
SECOND TEAM ALL-MVFC
#46 LB Jonas Griffith, INS, 6-4, 220, R-So., Louisville (Ky.) Academy of Shawnee
Third in the MVFC and first on the team with 107 total tackles, including 48 solo tackles … Recorded a team-best 11 tackles for loss for 50 yards … Led the team with 5.5 sacks for 36 yards … Had one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, two pass breakups and three quarterback hurries … Recorded a career high 15 tackles against Southern Illinois … Had had five games with 10 or more tackles.
#15 TE Jacquet McClendon, INS, 6-1, 235, Sr., Evergreen Park (Ill.) Evergreen Park Community HS
The Indiana State leader in receptions with 54 for a total of 595 yards at the tight end position … Finished the regular season fourth in The Valley in receptions … Averaged 11.0 yards per catch and 54.1 yards receiving per game … Had a team high four receiving touchdowns, including a 73-yard receiving touchdown against Youngstown State.
ALL-MVFC HONORABLE MENTION
#6 RB LeMonte Booker, INS, 5-11, 190, R-Sr., Orland Park (Ill.) Carl Sandburg HS
A dual-threat running back for the Sycamores with 1,086 all-purpose yards … Led the team and is second in the Missouri Valley Football Conference during the regular season with 941 yards on the ground … Accounted for a team best five rushing touchdowns and is averaging 85.5 rushing yards per game … Finished with 4.7 yards per carry which was seventh best in the MVFC among ball carriers with 100 or more attempts … Had three games with 100 or more yards rushing including 167 yards against YSU and 104 yards against the top rush defense in the country in NDSU … Third on the squad in receiving with 149 yards on 20 catches, including a touchdown.
#98 P Thomas Bouldin, INS, 6-2, 210, Sr., Brea (Calif.) Fullerton College
Had 72 punts on the season for 3,050 total yards … Averaged 42.4 yards per punt … Had 16 punts of 50 or more yards … Has pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line, 23 times … Booted an ISU and MVFC 90-yard punt against Southern Illinois … Had two pass competitions for 47 yards.
#40 LB Katrell Moss, INS, 5-11, 220, R-Jr., Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central HS
Second on the team and fifth in The Valley with 101 tackles, including 36 solo tackles during the regular season … Second on the team with 9.0 tackles for loss for 20 yards … Recorded 2.5 sacks for 10 yards … Had four games with 10 or more tackles this season … Recorded a career high 20 tackles against Southern Illinois earlier this season.
