TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- The annual Sycamore Basketball Tipoff event has been set for Wednesday, November 1 inside Hulman Center on the eve of the start of the season for both the Indiana State men's and women's basketball teams. The Sycamore Basketball Tipoff will begin at 4:30 pm and last until 8:00 pm at Hulman Center both on the floor and in the varsity club room. This event is free and open to the public.
The afternoon begins with an open practice from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm featuring the Indiana State Basketball team, led by head coach
Greg Lansing. Fans wil be invited to sit in the stands and enjoy a refreshment from the cash bar inside the varsity club room.
After the practice is over, both coach Lansing and women's basketball head coach
Joey Wells will speak to fans about the upcoming season. There will be time for fans to ask questions of the head coach and meet members of the Sycamore Basketball team. Following the coaches program, fans can head back out into the arena to watch women's basketball practice which will continue until 8:00 pm.
Fans may enter Hulman Center through the 8th Street entrance and will be directed down the stairs (or elevator) to the Varsity Club Room. The Sycamore Athletic Fund will provide complimentary light appetizers/snacks to those in attendance. A cash bar will be open during the duration of the event in the Varsity Club Room.
Those who still need to purchase season tickets or who wish to purchase other ticket packages may do so with the ticket office during this event.
The Sycamore Basketball team will host Marian in an exhibition contest on Friday, November 3 beginning at 7 pm (ET) while the women's team will host Illinois-Springfield on Sunday, November 5 beginning at 2 pm.
