TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's basketball will look to get back in the win column Sunday afternoon as Missouri State comes to town. The game will tip at 2 p.m. inside the Hulman Center and can be seen world-wide live on The Valley On ESPN3 as well as on the radio on WIBQ 1230 AM with Luke Martin on the call.
The game will serve as the annual "We Back Pat" game. Fans are encouraged to wear purple to raise awareness and fight Alzheimer's.
LOOKING AT MISSOURI STATE
The Bears come into Sunday with a 9-10 overall record, and a 5-3 mark in MVC play. MSU is coming off a 60-32 win over Loyola and are led by Liza Fruendt who is leading the team with 14.7 points a contest. Missouri State's Aubrey Buckley leads the teams in rebounds with 5.9 a game while adding 9.9 points.
SERIES HISTORY
The Sycamores trail the all-time series with Missouri State, 55-18. Indiana State has dropped six-straight meetings to MSU, including a postseason meeting during the MVC Tournament last year, 70-45.
PUTTING ON THE CLAMPS
The Sycamores lead the Missouri Valley Conference, holding opponents just 58.5 points per game this season. Indiana State is also leading the conference field goal percent defense, allowing the opposition to shoot just 35.6 percent from the floor. Indiana State is 7-4 when holding opponents under 60 points.
REBOUND AND WIN
The Sycamores are 6-1 when cleaning up on the glass this season and just 4-8 when getting outrebounded. As a team ISU sits in sixth place in the conference with 37.7 rebounds per contest while sitting second in the MVC with 26.7 defensive rebounds per game. Junior forward

CONSISTENCY
Ashley Taia, the Sycamores' leading scorer has been the most consistent offense for ISU this season. Taia has scored in double-figures 14 times including a career high 26 points at Southern Illinois on New Year's Day. The Brisbane, Australia ranks seventh in the MVC in scoring at 13.1 points per game.
SWAT TEAM
Indiana State as a whole has recorded 74 blocks as a team this year to lead the Missouri Valley. Their 3.9 blocks per game second-best in the MVC behind Illinois State. The Sycamores top paint protector is
Wendi Bibbins who has 22 blocks while her counterpart
Rhagen Smith has swatted away 14 shots. A total of 11 players have recorded blocks this year for the Sycamores.
STRONG IN THE VALLEY

Ashley Taia is leading the way in Valley play with a 14.3 points per game average while
Wendi Bibbins adds 8.9 a game to go along with 7.8 boards. Forward
Rhagen Smith is also averaging 9.8 points through eight conference games. Taia has recorded two 20+ point scoring games in MVC play. In total, the forward has three this season. She also has 14 games of double-digit scoring. Bibbins has scored in double-digits in six games in a Sycamore uniform.
