TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Indiana State women's basketball continues its current three-game road trip Tuesday at Saint Louis at 8 p.m. ET. The game can be seen live on A-10 TV. Luke Martin will also have the call on WIBQ 1230 AM in the Wabash Valley.
SERIES HISTORY
Indiana State leads the all-time series with the Billikens, 6-2 with the last meeting between the two programs coming just a season ago as SLU defeated the Sycamores, 62-52, in Terre Haute.

Ashley Taia scored a season high 23-points to help the Sycamores complete a 17-point comeback at Miami (OH) Saturday afternoon inside Millett Arena.
Forward
Wendi Bibbins was the only other Sycamore to eclipse double-digits, tying a season best with 16 points, including 10 in the first half alone to go along with seven rebounds. Taia also proved big on the boards, collecting a seven while dishing out four assists.
Rhagen Smith scored seven and grabbed five boards for the Sycamores.
Indiana State would outrebound the Redhawks 37-30, including 11 on the offensive end that led to eight second chance points. ISU improved to 4-0 on the season when outrebounding the opponent.
Indiana State carried over that momentum into the third quarter, outscoring the home standing Redhawks, 20-7. A 9-0 run to end the third, including a
Maryam Wilcher jumper, a
Regan Wentland 3-pointer as the shot clock expired and a driving layup by Taia in the final possession as the quarter came to a close.
After Indiana State pushed its lead to eight points in the fourth, Miami made a 6-0 run to cut the lead to 57-54 with 3:08 left. Neither team would put score a field goal but ISU would connect on five free throws which the team struggled with in their final outing against IUPUI. Freshman
Ashli O'Neal connected on two from the charity stripe before Bibbins and Webb closed out the game at the line. As a team, ISU was 80 percent (12-of-15) from the line.
DOUBLE TROUBLE
Eight games into the 2016-17 season, junior
Wendi Bibbins is putting up the most consistent numbers on the team, averaging nearly a double-double with 10.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. Against EIU, Bibbins fell just one rebound shy of her third double-double of the season after recording 16 points and nine rebounds.
MVC NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK
Wendi Bibbins earned her first MVC Newcomer of the Week honor the league office announced Monday. Bibbins finished the week nearly averaging a double-double, scoring 13.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and an assists a game to help Indiana State to a 2-1 record with wins over Miami (OH) and Eastern Illinois. A Harvey, Louisiana native, Bibbins matched a career high 16 points versus the Redhawks as she helped propel ISU to a comeback win after trailing Miami by 17 points in the second quarter. She finished 6-of-10 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line to go along with seven rebounds. Against EIU, she hit six of her seven shots scored 16 points while grabbing nine boards.
PUTTING ON THE CLAMPS
Miami started off hot in the game Saturday in Oxford, shooting lights out at 55.6 percent (10-of-18) in the first quarter while ISU was held to 5-of-13. The Sycamores would kick up the defensive pressure as the game carried on, limiting Miami to just six field goals in the second half after the Redhawks recorded 15 in the first half. MU would finish the game shooting 35.6 percent (21-of-59) while ISU hit 22 of their 48 shots for a 45.8 shooting percent.
COMEBACK
Trailing by as many as 17-points in the second quarter at Miami (OH), the Sycamores finished the final seven minutes of the first half on a 16-4 run to pull within five points of Miami. Taia capped off the second with a steal and layup as time expired by to go into the locker room down just 37-32. ROAD WARRIORS
When the nonconference schedule comes to a close, Indiana State will have played eight of their 11 games on the road. The Sycamores finished 2-3 during a five-game road swing and is currently in the midst of a three-game swing including games at Miami (OH), Saint Louis and Butler.
SYCAMORES SELECTED SEVENTH
The Indiana State women's basketball team has been picked to finish sixth in the Missouri Valley Conference's annual preseason poll, the conference office announced Tuesday prior to the league's annual tip-off event. Drake was picked to win the league after picking up 34 of the 40 total first-place votes followed by Northern Iowa, Missouri State, Southern Illinois and Wichita State to round out the top five. Bradley was selected seventh followed by the Illinois State, Evansville and Loyola to round out the poll.
