ST. LOUIS - Indiana State women's golf junior Briana LeMaire earns MVC Golfer of the Week honors for the first time in her collegiate career, announced by the league office on Thursday. This marks the first time the junior has earned this honor.

LeMaire shot her best two rounds of the 2024-25 year to pick up her first collegiate individual victory. She won the PFW Hammock Beach Invitational in Florida with a two-day 148 (+4, 75-73), helping the Sycamores capture first place as a team. 
 
LeMaire's 73 was her best round out of the previous nine, dating back five tournaments. She shot two-under on par-5s in the tournament, tying for second-best in the field. The individual win for LeMaire marks her third top-five-or-better finish in her 2.5-plus-year collegiate career. The junior led her team to their second team win of the season, marking the first time Indiana State won two tournaments in an academic season since the 2016-17 season.

LeMaire joins Yang Tai as the only two Sycamores to earn the award in this 2024-25 academic year.

The Sycamores are back in action on March 24-26 in Hollister, Mo. for the Ozarks National Invitational.
