Gruce, Gilman, Panagouleas receive Hines Memorial Medal

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Athletics had three athletes featured among the 14 recipients of the 2024 Hines Memorial Medal, as announced by the University on Monday.

Jordan Gruce (Swimming & Diving), Alivia Gilman (Spirit), and Kaitlynne Panagouleas (Spirit) were among the graduating students honored with the Hines Memorial Medal. Named after Indiana State University's fourth president from 1921-1933, Linnaeus Hines, the prestigious award is bestowed upon students who entered ISU as first-time college freshmen and complete their bachelor's degrees with the highest cumulative grade point average.

Christopher Olsen, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs for Indiana State University expressed his admiration, "We are immensely proud of these 14 graduating seniors for their unwavering dedication and hard work that has led to this remarkable achievement. Their academic excellence is a testament to their exceptional commitment to succeed in every single course they took at ISU. This is a truly remarkable accomplishment, considering the diverse range of courses that all students undertake to complete a bachelor's degree. Their diligence and dedication will undoubtedly pave the way for their successful careers. We are honored to call them alumni of this esteemed institution."

All three seniors will be furthering their education following their graduation from Indiana State on May 11, 2024.

Gruce was accepted into the Blewett School of Law at the University of Montana where she will continue her education this fall.

Gilman was accepted into the Robert H. McKinney School of Law at Indiana University where she will continue her education this fall.
