Sycamore Softball to Host Two Fall Tournaments Sept. 20 & Sept. 27-28

Terre Haute Ind. ? The Indiana State softball team is set to host two fall tournaments in the next two weekends at the Eleanor Forsythe St. John Softball Complex right here at Indiana State University.  This Saturday, September 20, the Sycamores invite two teams to compete in the ISU Invite.  Next weekend, September 27-28, the Sycamore Challenge will feature ten different teams from around the area.

 

Ball State and Parkland will be the two teams at the ISU Invite that will face the Sycamores.  First, Indiana State will take on Ball State at noon and then Parkland at 4:00 p.m.

 

Alumni & Parent's Day will take place on that afternoon.  There will be a picnic following the last game that all alumni and parents/family members of current players are invited to enjoy with the Sycamore squad.

 

The following weekend, September 27-28, nine different teams will be invited to the Sycamore Challenge including the University of Indianapolis, St. Joseph's College, Wabash Valley College, Olney Central College, Lake Land College, Butler, DePauw, St. Mary of the Woods, and Indiana University. 

 

On Saturday, the Sycamores face Indianapolis at 9:30 a.m., St. Joseph's College at 11:15 a.m., Lake Land College at 2:45 p.m., and Olney Central at 4:30 p.m. 

 

Camper Appreciation Day will be held that Saturday.  All kids from the summer camp are invited to the tournament free of charge and will receive a t-shirt for attending.

 

The Sycamores finish up with two games on Sunday at noon and 2:00 p.m. against the Hoosiers of Indiana University and Butler.

 

All Sycamore games will be played on Price Field.  Cost of admission for the tournaments is $5 for one day or $8 for a weekend pass.
