TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State women's basketball team will play host to Loyola Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. inside the Hulman Center. ISU Athletics, the Sycamore Athletic Fund, and the ISU Alumni Association will honor former players, coaches and managers at halftime for Alumni Day. The game can also be seen world-wide on The Valley On ESPN3 as well as on WIBQ 1230 AM with play-by-play man Luke Martin on the call.
LOOKING AT LOYOLA
Loyola comes into the game with a 2-20 overall record, and a 1-10 mark in MVC play. The Ramblers are led by Katie Salmon with 8.8 points per game while Kaitlyn Williams adds 8.4 points a contest. Salmon also leads the squad in rebounding, pulling down 6.4 boards a game. Kaitlyn Williams leads Loyola from behind the arc with a 32.1 shooting percentage from downtown on 45 makes. As a team, Loyola is scoring 49.2 points a game while allowing 72.5 to its opponents.
SERIES HISTORY
The Sycamores lead the all-time series with the Ramblers, 9-4. Indiana State has won six of the last seven matchups including a sweep last year. ISU is 5-0 at home, 3-3 on the road and 0-1 at neutral sites against Loyola. Indiana State won the first meeting this season in Chicago by a score of 48-38. The Sycamores have never dropped back-to-back meetings against the Ramblers in the series that goes back to 1982-83.
PUTTING ON THE CLAMPS
The Sycamores lead the Missouri Valley Conference, holding opponents just 57.4 points per game this season. Indiana State is also leading the conference field goal percent defense, allowing the opposition to shoot just 35.1 percent from the floor. Indiana State is 8-6 when holding opponents under 60 points.
DOMINATE THE PAINT
Junior forward
Wendi Bibbins continued her dominance of the paint for Indiana State last Friday (Feb. 3) in Normal as she scored a career high 23 points and pulled down 13 rebounds; one shy of a career high. The Harvey, Louisiana native recorded her third double-double of the season in the game. In just 18 minutes of action in the first half, Bibbins had 15 points and nine boards to lead the Sycamores. For her efforts, Bibbins was awarded with MVC Newcomer of the Week honors for the second time this season.
REBOUND AND WIN
The Sycamores are 7-2 when cleaning up on the glass this season and just 4-9 when getting outrebounded. As a team ISU sits in sixth place in the conference with 38.4 rebounds per contest while sitting second in the MVC with 26.7 defensive rebounds per game. Junior forward

SWAT TEAM
Indiana State as a whole has recorded 79 blocks as a team this year to lead the Missouri Valley. Their 3.6 blocks per game second-best in the MVC behind Illinois State. The Sycamores top paint protector is
